Optical Retail Brand Identity: Nagar House of Glasses

Optical retail brand identity sits between healthcare credibility and fashion appeal. This project aimed to balance both.

Nagar House of Glasses had a loyal customer base and strong in-store presence but lacked a cohesive brand system and distinctive digital experience.

Category: Brand Identity · Website Design
Duration: 7 Weeks
Role: Visual Identity, Brand Language, Web Design
Deliverables: Logo Suite · Colour System · Type System · Website · Packaging · Signage · Social Templates

Overview

The goal was to create a complete optical retail brand identity that translated consistently across retail, packaging, social media, and web.

The Challenge

Optical brands often lean too clinical or too fashion-driven. Nagar House of Glasses needed to feel trustworthy, premium, and approachable at the same time.

Process

Brand Foundation

A category audit identified an opportunity for a warm, design-conscious positioning that retained the credibility expected in optical retail.

Identity System

A wordmark-led identity was paired with a refined colour palette and structured typography system designed to perform across print, signage, packaging, and digital applications.

Website Design

The website was built as a brand experience first and catalogue second, using editorial imagery, curated collections, and embedded trust signals. Every layout was designed mobile-first.

Collateral

The system extended to packaging, signage, social assets, and photography guidelines, enabling consistent execution after handoff.

Outcome

  • Complete optical retail brand identity delivered.

  • Website achieved a 40% increase in average session duration.

  • Brand system expanded to packaging, signage, and social within the first month.

  • Physical store interiors adopted the new visual language within three months.

  • No post-launch revisions requested.

Key Takeaway

A strong optical retail brand identity must work at every scale—from a lens cleaning cloth to storefront signage. Designing for the most demanding applications first created a system that remains effective across every customer touchpoint.
